Easter Party!

sk and i came home from the beach today. we had a great trip and a great Easter with family. i'm going to do a post about all that, but first i wanted to blog about sk's class Easter party that was this past thursday. it was so darn cute! it was at her friend cooper's house. they had an egg hunt, played hard, ate lunch, and then played some more. sarah kate had a blast! we were glad to have mimi in town for a couple of days...she got to go to the party and see sk in action with all her buddies. it was a really fun morning and a great way to kick off our Easter festivities and sk's spring break.

and amy took a pic of my mom, sk and i but i wouldn't show anyone that pic for all the money in the world. unfortunately, we were sitting down and i was all slumped over in a way that made me look like i'm 105 weeks pregnant instead of 25 weeks pregnant. yuck.

i'm ordering the glider for this corner tomorrow. it will be white. pics never make paint color look exactly right, but i love the blue color in here. nice change!!

hayes's crib is all set up and i put her bedding on it last night. when sk walked in and saw it today she said, "oooooh, mama it's so beautiful!!!" so sweet. i was afraid she'd say, "i want my crib back." ha! she moved right on to her big bed a few weeks ago and hasn't looked back since!

that's all we've done in there so far. this abc poster came in a couple of weeks ago....

mimi is here for a couple of days. sk had the sillies all night=)

the girl's bathroom is grey now. the fabric for the shower curtain should be here tomorrow and someone here is making it for me. it is a light pink chevron print. trey has been busy changing out the fixtures and all.
we are glad to say goodbye to the "beach border"....

shower curtain will change. the trashcan in this pic is the trashcan that the previous owners left. i am so slack. i will obviously get the girls a new trashcan....eventually.

my mom brought up some gifts from barbara's. trey's parents got hayes some sweet newborn gowns and things with her little monogram on it. my mom brought her a couple of things and a sweet lady from folkston sent up a cute little bubble. it was a fun box to open....hayes already had a bunch of clothes from sk, a & b, but all of these have either her name or initials on them. so sweet=)

sk picked out hayes's little hospital cap that trey's parents bought for her. i gave her a choice between dogs or bears and she chose bears. none of these pics really turned out too well. oh well, i was excited to see her own little clothes=)

we'll continue to work in the nursery and the bathroom, but having the paint done and the crib set up and all is such a relief! and our screen porch will begin it's transition to a sunroom/playroom on monday!! lots of fun things going on (lots of things that i hope will be all completely done by june!)

jamie gets married!

lauren and i traveled to clayton, georgia this weekend to chota falls to celebrate the wedding of one of our college besties! we had a blast seeing so many friends. sure do miss all those girls.

jamie and erik are a perfect pair for sure. the wedding was gorgeous and fun and the venue was amazing! only downside was that trey wasn't there but he had a great daddy-daughter weekend here in charleston.

there was a big bonfire after the reception. it was all really fun. of course i hung on each night as long as my preggo body would let me and then i retired to my bed. both nights as soon as i crawled in bed, hayes thanked me for the rest, peace and quiet by having her own little party. love her night moves so much but i sure do hope she gets her nights/days straight before she joins us=)

and meanwhile, i received several texts about the adventures of trey and sk;)
friday night they ate at atlanta bread and sent me this....

i got this pic saturday morning - they went to the beach with mr. kyle and alden and then to hometeam for lunch....

saturday after nap i received this one from their shopping trip to target....

got to say, he's one fantastic dad! they had a great time together.
they spent some time at lowes getting paint and picking out new bathroom fixtures for the girl's bathroom. those pics will come soon! the painters came today and painted the nursery blue and the girl's bathroom grey. it all looks so good! can't wait to start setting things up=)
