halloween parades and playdates.

sk's class had their fall party and parade on thursday. sk was in a horrible mood yesterday but she participated in everything, wearing her belle costume and a frown. we have been struggling with sk the past couple of weeks & we think it's because she is just so so tired! she rarely falls asleep at naptime anymore and she's so stimulated during her days. we are going to work very hard to get her to bed extra early on the days that she doesn't sleep during naptime. to her credit, she had a wonderful day today! she has been such a joy all day so maybe we're getting out of our little slump.

here they come!!!.......

sk is princess belle - holding one of her teacher's hands along with her bff alden (the peacock).....

a little smile....she spotted her favorite guy in the world.......

look who came to see belle in her parade! belle loves her mimi so much....

who needs a prince when you have a peacock?

belle's telling peacock something profound i'm sure. (actually, she's probably saying, "why do you keep smiling? there is nothing fun about any of this. i'm miserable.")

group shot. belle was SO into taking a group shot......

check out belle. she finally had to put her head in her hands and cry. dressing up is her favorite thing to do (seriously, it is) so i'm so sorry her bad mood wouldn't let her enjoy it.
maybe trick or treating will be a better experience.

we enjoyed having mimi here! and i got a much needed datenight with my hubby while she was here. soooo grateful! i needed a break!

we love her happy, sad, excited or mad.....

i went back later for the party. belle came in from recess a very happy princess. so her day improved alot until about 3 when it took a nose-dive! she did enjoy the school party. i forgot my camera when i went back. sad.

this morning 3 of sk's little pals came over for a halloween playdate. they played in the yard, painted pumpkins, and enjoyed a pumpkin muffin snack. they had a great time and sk really enjoyed being home! she's just been in a real good and sweet mood all day. sk enjoyed playing with her friends and i enjoyed chatting with mine=)

thank you mimi for playing with sarah kate while i got things ready for her friends to come over.

we're festive=)

little pumpkin artists hard at work.....

love alden's sweet smile....she was proud of her pumpkin=)

baby jackson gets to relax while big sis, charlotte plays....

foard takes a spin around the driveway before heading home.....

charlotte and sk....artists at work...

sad to see everyone go....

and i have to include pics of sk from tonight because they are such a wonderful sight to see! she didn't fall asleep at naptime, but after resting in her crib for 2 hours she came downstairs an insanely happy child. she cooked and cooked and cooked and just played and giggled. she was such a joy today. and as she walked upstairs with her daddy to do bedtime (at 6:30 - praise the Lord) she turned around and said, "i wove you, mama!"
it's not realistic to think kids are going to be happy ALL the time, but after a bad mood that lasted 2 weeks, the happiness has been a welcomed change! days like today make the bad days bearable. i wove you too, sarah kate!!!!

getting dinner ready for beau-beau:

serving beau. she came back to him later and asked, "was it SO good, beau-beau?"

our fall festivities will continue with ga/fla, pumpkin carving, & trick or treating. hope we are all able to enjoy the fun that is yet to come! (our fall festival was tonight at our church and i was SO tired that i just completely forgot about it! didn't even look at my calendar today. i was in my pj's by 5 and remembered about the festival at 6:30. oops. sk doesn't know the difference and we are all thankful for early bedtimes tonight anyway.)

disney on ice and a family-filled weekend.

the look on her face when she saw mickey, minnie, donald, daisy and goofy skate out of cinderella's castle was absolutely priceless. i think trey even teared up a little, but nobody needs to mention that to him;)

we took her out to dinner before heading over to the coliseum. the show lasted from 7 until 9. she stayed awake and in disbelief through the entire performance and didn't even fall asleep on the car ride home because she couldn't stop talking about it!
she wore her cute minnie mouse tshirt that anna made for her, but i stuck her belle costume in my bag just in case she wanted to wear it when she saw belle come out. it was kinda funny when security checked my bag! i said, "that's our belle costume." and the lady was like, "oh, of course, can't forget that!" anyway, she noticed it before the show even started and had to put it on right away. while we waited for the show to begin we snacked on popcorn and dip-n-dots. she had quite the special evening!

getting ready to go out to dinner and then on to the show!

i left trey in charge of picture taking while i got everything together. bless his heart, this is about the best shot he got. she does have feet.

on friday, we left for st. marys to spend the night with ava and bryce! the girls had so much fun together friday evening. on saturday, sk's case of the terrible twos flared up real bad! we went to a fall carnival and she didn't want to do anything but have trey or i hold her. she was miserable. later in the afternoon we packed up and drove over to mimi & papa's house so we could help celebrate the upcoming arrival of our newest kriner cousin: lilly rose! although sk didn't take a nap on saturday, she managed to get herself together and she had a great time at the shower. we can't wait to meet lilly rose.

rub-a-dub-dub, "jon-jons" gives good baths in the tub!

the girls gave sk a matching pair of glow-in-the-dark skeleton pjs. they played skeleton games with "jon-jons" for a long time....creepy!

saturday morning before the terrible twos took over....

sk's obsession with pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns continues. and mimi has lots to choose from. when we pulled into our driveway sunday night, sk said, "mimi jack-o-lantern have hat. why sk jack-o-lantern not have hat?!"

a quick kiss...

pumpkins are good for so many things!!!......
