we take our collecting very seriously....
the collector does not need nor does she want mommy's help. mommy was told to sit here and wait for the collector to return with her findings....
"what? you want me just to sit in this comfy chair and relax?? not a problem."
"i be right back, mom"....
the collector finished her work with a few minutes to spare before needing to do some relaxing of her own (aka...nap) so she was able to get in a few good slides. it's hard to find time to squeeze in some "fun" when you are so busy with "work" but we manage....
**something to remember about sarah kate***
today i had to go into the school office so i didn't use carpool for pickup. i got her from the classroom. as we were walking back to the car she said, "mom, are you hot?" first time she's ever asked a question where "are" is the asking word. it was a complete sentence, too. she usually asks questions like this...."mama want muffin?" or "mommy wear slippers?" or "beau-beau feel sad, mommy?"
just something i wanted to remember. so anyway, she said, "mom, are you hot?" so i said, "well, yes, i am a little bit hot. are you hot?" and she said, "i hot. sarah kate need sunglasses." ha! which reminds me of another thing she's starting to do....use "i" more! she usually always talks about herself as "sarah kate" but now she's using "i" some and "sarah kate" some. ("i do it myself" is her favorite i-phrase.)
