14 months!

i just love love love this crazy little 14 month old!  yesterday was the 14 month mark and i totally forgot to take a pic of her with her monthly sticker on.  oops....first time i've forgotten though!  i almost wish i didn't have the sticker set through 2 years.  maybe i'll remember after nap.  anyway, sk and i are off to a little birthday party for one of her neighborhood friends so i'll post about h's 14th month later.

one thing is for sure though - she's so stinkin' CUTE!!  alot to record for this month - h has changed/grown so much and in many different ways.  love my hayes!!

so long summer 2013.

well, we have one more week until school starts but the "busyness" actually begins tomorrow with sk's first day back at dance.  it actually started today with our school board meeting.....big fat reality slap in the face.  i'm a summer gal, what can i say?!  i like freedom, lack of schedules, vacations, beach time, pool time, do whatever we please time.  anyway, we will hit the ground running and will enjoy getting back to school and all soon enough.  sk is looking forward to being one of the big kids on campus - she has worked her way up from the one year old class to the big 4K program and she's excited!  little hayes will begin her time at the learning center this year with the same teachers sk started with.  i'm already praying that she doesn't get kicked out for biting or pinching or climbing up to the roof of the school somehow......if ms. patsy & ms. audrey are expecting sarah kate part II to walk through those doors next tuesday then they need to think again!  their days with my hayes will not be dull though, that i can promise.

we took our annual "so long summer" trip down to our family beach house this past week.  we did not have great weather, but the girls had a blast.  

it is pretty much impossible to get both of my children to actually look AT the camera at the same time. impossible.

so anyway, so long summer 2013....almost.

i don't need keds!!

hayesie now has proven that she can walk just fine with her own 2 bare feet AND shoes other than keds.  i still won't budge on the fact that keds gave her confidence!

little hayesie - going places

sk is better today.  she has developed a cough which was bothersome for her last night at times.  her one request was to go to moe's today so we went there for lunch.  trey took her to see planes at the theater a little while ago, too - she was so excited!  she needed some outings today!

we're supposed to head down to the beach on monday for one last summer hurrah....maybe she'll be up for it.  praying for her to feel better - she told me last night, "mommy, i'm so tired of being sick."  the cough has her completely annoyed.

i have better videos than this, but this is the only one that will post.  and it's the first one that i took so i guess it's most appropriate.  anyway, we have a walker.  she didn't walk this morning at all but then we went to her room so that i could start organizing her fall clothes/shoes so i tried a pair of keds on her.  and that was it...then she started walking.  keds.  who knew?  but then again, sister first walked across a room wearing keds.

anyway, hayes is proud and so are we!  she is such a cute little mess!

also for baby book purposes:

she has some new words -baby and ball.  she likes baby dolls and any type of ball.  she likes to carry around alot of stuff - i do raise collectors around here.    

in the morning as i'm getting her out of her sleep sack on her changing table i'll say, "where is hayes's foot?" and she'll throw her feet up in the air.  she still refuses to point to her nose.  she does not care a thing about elmo but loves mickey mouse clubhouse.  how could she not love elmo??  sk loved "melmo"!

after nap we changed out of our pjs (finally) and did more walking....

it has rained and rained and rained here!  and sk is sick - has had fever since sunday.  so no wonder hayes walked today - we've run out of anything else to do!!  i'm just about over it!  but my little homebody sk is in heaven.  she hasn't complained once - she could live in her little sarah kate pretend world in her playroom all. day. long.  seriously....all day, every day.  she has been the sweetest patient.

anyway, i still don't even know if hayes can walk without her keds on! ha!  they give her balance i guess which gives her confidence.  and it's not just because i finally put shoes on her - it's the keds!  i've put other brands on her lately just to get her used to wearing shoes and she did not walk.

our insta life.

i love instagram.  not because of the social aspect really, but because it's fun to fancy up your iPhone pics from time to time!  here is what has been going on in our insta world....

it's a little sick for any parent to ever have jealous feelings towards their children EVER,  but i have to admit....kinda wish she had gotten this fun head of hair from me=)   ha!  she needs a trim.  sk nor trey will even think of it so i guess they'll cave when she starts to step on it.  ;)  

sk and i play outside ALOT during h's nap time.  one of her favorite things :  beau digs a hole, she fills the hole with water, and then we stomp in the mud.  does not take much, people!

lasagna night!

handsome.  i'm irritated with him right now because he scratched hayes's face a few nights ago.  he was being territorial over her food bag that was sitting on the floor.  

trey and i went downtown and ate at 'fish' to celebrate my 34th birthday on august 7th.  it was fun and yummy!

we have been enjoying this great beach weather we've been having!

we took the boat over to deweese island on saturday.  hayes loved it and sk was so happy to be back in her little boat spot!!
