little haysie swung, played in the grass and then hung out in a stroller while sk and i did some fancy chalk artwork on the driveway. we love our little hayes!
we went over to "mr." blair and "mrs." summer's house for the super bowl. hayes found it super exciting i guess....
here is hayes-o just playing....she's so darn cute (if i can say that & it's my blog so i'm pretty sure i can).
just love this age.
sk is so darn funny. trey is always asking me, "are you writing this down??? did you hear that??" and sadly, i'm not and i can't remember hardly anything unless i write it down. but there are a few things.....
*"mama, the screw driver lost his goggles. did you know that? did you know the screw driver lost his goggles??!" me: "you mean the scubba diver?" sk: "yes! that's what i said!"
*"oh dear, dumbo just got his trunk stuck in the window!" (of the publix grocery car that she & dumbo drive while i shop). "dumbo! why did you do that? you need to control your trunk mister!" same shopping trip but she said this REALLY loud: "OH NO!!! DUMBO JUST HURT HIS HINEY!!! DID YOU HEAR ME MAMA??? DUMBO'S HINEY HURTED!!"
*we ate lunch at moe's today. i always get the girls settled in a booth and then i go to fill mine and sk's water cups. as i was leaving the table to go fill our cups she says, "can i go ahead and eat?" i said, "sure." as i'm almost to the water fountain which was not real close to our booth i hear her singing her school blessing very loudly, "GOD OUR FATHER, GOD OUR FATHER, WE THANK YOU, WE THANK YOU, FOR OUR MANY BLESSINGS, FOR OUR MANY BLESSINGS, AMEN, AMEN!" i guess she thought i needed to hear it....& i did...& so did the whole restaurant.
*bed time avoidance...."mama, mama, mama!" me: "what!" sk: "i have some things to talk to you about." or "wait, wait, wait, i'm still hungry. my tummy hurts i'm so hungry." hmmmm.....good night, sk!!
me: "sk, watch hayes for just a second." sk: "okay!" 2 seconds later sk is in my closet with me. me: "i thought you were going to watch hayes." sk: "dumbo is watching her instead." and he was. when i got back into the living room dumbo was right in front of her.
hayes sits in her exersaucer in the kitchen while sk eats breakfast. hayes throws her toys off of the tray onto the floor. sk: "haysie, you've got to stop throwing your toys!!" and she gets down from her chair and picks up all of the toys and puts them back on the tray. you know what hayes does of course...
"mommy, i'm going to need to take a look at you today. i'm just going to do it because the doctor isn't in today so i'll just take a look at you."
me: "sk, i'd like to cut your hair off and put it on my head. do you really need all those pretty curls?" sk: "MOM! don't do that. i like my curly hair. you can cut off daddy's short hair and put that on your head. his short hair would look cute on you."
along the same fashion-type lines.....last friday night i was getting dressed to go meet lauren for a social painting class (will post pic...we are clearly brilliant artists) and i had on a wide brown belt. sk liked it a lot but by the time i left i decided to loose the belt and when sk saw me she said, "awww, why did you take off your cute belt, mommy?!" ha!
that's all i've got. i'm going to bed!
i'll leave the post with our beautiful artwork! sk really did think my painting was fabulous...it was so funny.
