sk supervised a successful lizard hunt.....
sk, mrs. amy, alden and i went to a christmas puppet show in the old village on friday. didn't get a pic there, but sk and i had a good time running around in the backyard when we got home. sk said, "it a hot summer day!" (i think she inherited her father's internal thermometer...it was cold.)
we got our tree all decorated on wednesday and we finished all the other indoor/outdoor decorations this past week, too. then our darn tree fell over on thursday....not even kidding....fell to the ground, broken ornaments and all. i could have died. trey got a new tree stand and we got it all fixed and redecorated on friday. i mean, there are worse things that happen to people, but that was not my favorite thing that has ever happened in this house. i lost several of my favorite ornaments.

our tree never photographs well;) it is very full and pretty and we have some nice berry/pinecone garland wrapped around it that you just can't really see. anyway, we love it and enjoy having our house decorated for christmas very much. sk really loves it! she said today, "it so perfect. it MY christmas tree. it perfect." where does she get this stuff?
our stockings are hung by the chimney with care even though once again st. nick will not be putting anything in these stockings. santa will have to deliver our goods to mimi & papa's house once again. i'm 32 and still have yet to wake up anywhere other than my parent's house on christmas morning. i still can't imagine not having christmas morning there and trey & sk love it as much as i do so back to folkston we'll go. love all our christmas traditions down there.
we watched lsu stomp all over our dawgs! that was certainly expected so we weren't too disappointed. i'm so glad that the dawgs made it that far after a rocky start to the season. our good friends came over to watch the game with us and to eat chili and oysters and other yummy dips and things. it was fun (except that we lost). amy & kyle both went to lsu. trey & i both went to uga....so the battle was on.....
so after the first quarter, sk was happy and alden was scared...
alden is a hugger and sk does not do hugs, she kind of tenses up and waits for the hug to be over....

after hearing about our tree incident, the murrell's brought us a new ornament for our tree....sk is so proud of it. she said, "it MY ornament. it mines!" (yes, she puts an "s" on the end of mine...kinda drives me crazy.)
so that's it! that's what we've been up to lately. i need to be thinking of a good craft for my sunday school class tomorrow, but my creativity can only go so far. God calls out to Samuel and Samuel listens to God. i can usually come up with something for these cute 3 year olds even if it's a stretch but i'm struggling with this one. i'll think of something when i get in the supply closet tomorrow.
