*sk gets trey's reading glasses and case off of his nightstand and brings them to the kitchen. i said, "sk let's put those back because we don't want to break daddy's glasses." sk said, "it not a big deal mom. it not."
*i pick sk up from school and she's telling me what all she did. then she said, "i want ice-ceem, mom." i said, "what? it's so cold outside, i don't think we should eat icecream!" and sk said, "what you talkin' bout, mama?!"
*we're in the grocery store. i pick up a box of sk's favorite mac&cheese which is the back to nature's bugs, butterflies and caterpillars. she holds the box close to her face and hugs it and says, "oh i love it so very much, mama! i just love it!!"
i ask sk, "whose birthday are we celebrating for Christmas?" and sk says, "it baby jesus's birthday! i get cupcake?" ha! always working in a way to get a sweet treat. and i think it's cute that she thinks jesus is a baby. (kind of reminds me of that movie taledaga nights)
*we're at the vet with the cat. sk says, "bella see doctor, bella get sucker?" THEN, as a way to convince me to make a stop by her doctor she says, "oh my tummy hurt mommy, need to take temp-ture, need to see doctor. get sucker." heehee!!
same cat vet appointment. we're in the patient room with bella who is roaming the counter and rubbing her face & chin on the corner of the vet's computer monitor. sk says, "what you doin bella? you stop that right now, bella!!" she bosses the animals alot.
*sk got down on the floor where beau was laying and stayed there talking to him for a very long time. she looked him over and said, "i love you, beau beau. i like dogs so much. you okay, beau beau? how you doin? beau beau feel sad, mommy?"
*i pick sk up from school. i say, "what did you do at school today?" sk says, "mrs. keller have 2 sides, like a triangle!" ha!
*we go to get our christmas tree. sk says, "dat tree too heavy, daddy!" as we are leaving the lot she says, "merry christmas to all!"
*we are at mrs. c's house having tgiving dinner. it's dark outside and sk keeps asking different people to take her outside. sk says, "go outside in dark." when she gets out there she looks up at the sky, finds a star and says, "i make a christmas wish, on a christmas star for a christmas miracle." over and over and over and over. we may have watched elmo's christmas countdown a few too many times=)
those are just some things that sk has said lately that i'd like to remember.

pleased with her tree selection...
something i don't want to remember...."i NOT wear my hat, NO!" ERRR...this ticks me right off. sk is refusing to wear her winter hats this year and she needs them on to cover up her little ears and to keep her head warm. i guess that's not an unusual battle to have with a kid. an unusual battle is this.....when we're pulling into target which is right by her doctor's office she begins to beg to go to the dr. and i have to tell her no. that's unusual. yes we love her dr., but what she wants is....a sucker. =)
