the last few days.....

sk had an accident at school today.  she was on the playground and didn't make it to the bathroom to tinkle.  i knew as soon as i picked her up that she had an accident because she came out wearing her little short dress without her leggings (in 50 degree weather no less, but she refused to put on the jeans that i sent in as her 'extra' clothes).  

i said, "sarah kate, why did you have an accident??!!"  she said, "well, because i waited till the yast minute." (the "l" is a "y" in many cases.  "i'm sarah kate you-c" for example.)

anyway, pretty funny...can't argue with that reason.  accidents happen and if they do then that is certainly why- because we wait till the yast minute.

 

she came home and put on her cow boots.  cutie pie.  

so, apparently in class they drew a picture of what they are thankful for.  then mrs. ginger wrote what they said at the top of the paper.  is my sweet girl thankful for me??? nope.  daddy??? nope.  hayes-o??? no way.  

that's right.  dumbo wins.  she's thankful for dumbo.  and she was being 100% honest....she loves that darn stuffed elephant more than life itself.

on sunday, sk went with us to church again and then went to the toddler nursery after the children's sermon was over.  i swear it was the cutest thing.  she just sat there beside me and opened up her hymnal and pretended to sing the right words.  it almost breaks my heart to watch her because she is trying so hard to do exactly what we are doing and almost seems nervous about doing it all so perfectly (i don't really think she is nervous though).  i almost want to be like, "don't you just want to color on the back of the bulletin and relax!"  but of course i don't.  she has done a good job so far with her church-going=)  her class goes to chapel once a week at school so she is familiar with the process to some degree.

look, God doesn't care if i snap an iphone pic of my kid in church.  he's just so glad we made it.

sunday night was disney on ice.  sk had a blast!  she didn't want it to end. hayes stayed with one of our sitters who had never kept her before.  she was asleep when we left so i was nervous that she was going to wake up, see charlene and completely freak out about not knowing who on earth she was.  but she did great - yay hayes!  charlene even said that she laughed alot=)

hayes has been laughing alot - she's a happy girl (for the most part).  only took 4 months.

sk's ballet, tap and tumble class is on mondays and this week was visitor's night where parents could sit in the class and watch.  so cute!

silly sk.  she was SO excited yesterday that i let her get the flu mist instead of the shot.  she was getting really anxious about it!
