vegas 2011.

we flew out of jacksonville on saturday (21st).

i was still not 100% over the tummy bug so we moved our saturday night reservations at lawry's to tuesday night. when we got in to vegas we checked into our hotel:

so excited to check into the bellagio! i just love this hotel, although i'm not going to lie....our room last year at the aria was probably nicer since it's so new. nicer in the technology and such, but more modern than the bellagio which i don't care about. but anyway, you can't beat the grounds at the bellagio...the beautiful lobby and the fountain of course. so after we checked in we ran downstairs to the bellagio cafe and grabbed some dinner....i still couldn't eat much so i'm glad we moved our lawry's reservations because that place was toooo yummy not to enjoy!

on sunday we woke up and ordered room service. eggs benedict, awesome cinnamon beignets and coffee. i felt like eating and it was so good=)

then we were off to meet up with blair (trey's business partner) and his wife summer. we just walked around to several different hotels and then had a lunch/snack in the venetian.

so then sunday night was mine and trey's date-night. we went to dinner at the most amazing restaurant on top of the plams. it was so nice, excellent food & great service with the most amazing view....it was all glass up there so you could see for miles=) it was during the meal that i started feeling nauseated again. i was so upset and i felt so bad about it because we were celebrating our upcoming 5 year anniversary and the restaurant was none too cheap! i enjoyed my food but couldn't eat it all and eventually we had to hurry and get the check:( so anyway, no pics. when we returned to our hotel i started feeling better. well enough to make it to our cirque show thankfully! we got ONE pic of sunday night before the show. and we both thoroughly enjoyed seeing Love.....it was like being at a Beatles concert and of course the cirque performers are always amazing to watch!




i did end up getting sick sunday night in the middle of the night. monday was trey's first day at his conference so i just stayed in bed all morning. i can't believe that crazy virus got me twice...or maybe i just never fully recovered but trey really thinks i got it twice. when i finally got up i went down to the pool for a little while. by monday night i felt so much better. we went to dinner with summer's boss who is also a client of trey & blair's. there were several others who were there for the convention who joined us for dinner at a great italian restaurant off the strip. i took zero pics on monday.

tuesday was the second day of trey's conference. i got up and walked around for a little while....i visited the cosmopolitan hotel which is part of the city center. i stood outside our hotel and waited to see the fountain show and then i went to the pool. it was a beautiful day and i felt great (finally) and so i ordered my $15 pina colada, read my book and laid out. trey was supposed to have meetings until 3:30 but was finished by 1 so he joined me at the pool. it was so fun and relaxing=) after the pool we walked around the gardens in the bellagio and then grabbed some late lunch at the bellagio cafe - our annual lunch spot=)

tuesday night was our lawry's night. we went with blair and summer. it was so fun and the food was soooo delicious...awesome prime rib! before we met up with them we walked around a little and went over to the miracle mile shops in planet hollywood (we picked sk up a t-shirt).

after dinner we went to downtown las vegas to the old "vegas" fremont street. it was interesting at least;)

we left the hotel on wednesday around 11 and our flight left around 2. we got into jax around midnight and then back to folkston close to 1 a.m. we had such a wonderful trip but we were SO excited to see our girl on thursday morning! and i must say....she was pretty darn happy to see us too=)
