memorial day.

we are thankful to those who have died fighting for our freedom. we are thankful for those who continue to serve our country to make sure that we stay safe. we are especially thankful for our "personal soldier" jordan kriner who has just made the brave decision to stay IN. if anyone reading this would like to read a very insightful book about a soldier's journey and tours in afghanistan then follow this link and order my aunt theresa's book that she wrote about my cousin jordan.....mostly told through the very detailed emails that jordan wrote home - he's a gifted writer, he's very smart, he's witty, and most importantly he's someone who you WANT to be serving our country. great book.

we spent memorial day at the beach with friends. sometimes i can't believe how lucky we are to live a mere 5 minutes from the ocean! sarah kate is spoiled by it and she woke tues. morning asking to go back to the "geach." so we did.

we met up with our friends amy and kyle and their daughter alden who is sk's best bud. "aunt" lauren came out too.

our days at the beach wear sk out so she always takes a good nap when we get home. after we ate dinner we went to menchie's for some frozen yogurt. sk was so excited to go out for "ice-ceeeem." i fixed her a cup of vanilla and she thoroughly enjoyed it....


it was a great day!
