weekend recap.

with the exception of a fun friday night birthday dinner downtown, it was just a lucy family weekend!

sat morning tea party

sk always chooses the pink cup.  mousie gets a cup all for himself.  the toy story gang has to share=)

trey and i worked all day saturday in the yard getting all the spring/summer toys cleaned up (sk was glad to see us pull out her giraffe pool!) she jumped in her jump house and we also got our strollers, wagon and beach & bubble toys washed and cleaned.  much needed cleaning day.

sunday lunch at hometeam bbq before a trip to costco.....kiss, kiss=)

"i want a bbq samwich," she said.  pork pork pork.....her favorite meat.

little lovebug=)

i don't think i ever used one of these parking spots when i was pregnant with sk.  but i did it today.  hayes and i went to target and the pig while trey and sk swept limbs into a pile....

a couple of funny things sk said this weekend:
on the way to eat lunch: "i don't need a highchair.  that would make me upset."  (ha....she usually always lets us know in PLENTY of time that she isn't interested in sitting in a highchair.)

"did you know that Jesus died for us ALL?????!!"

to the sales lady at havertys: "i just fluffed in my big girl panties!"  (awesome).

"this dress is the comfy cozy kind."

after i called her "sweet pea" :  "i NOT sweet pea.  i just sarah kate!!!"

and the fascination with my brother continues:
me during bedtime: "who do you want to thank God for?"  sk: "jon-jons." (and that was it.)

trey during sat. morning tea party: "sk, who gave you eggy (the elephant)?"  sk: "jon-jons."(as if my brother went into a baby boutique and picked out that pink elephant.  sometimes she'll add that it also came from ash, ava and bryce, but most of the time it just came from jon-jon).

sk (randomly throughout the day):  "what jon-jon doin today?"

sk: "jon jons in st. mary.  we saw him in barberritos.  can we go to barberritos?!"

sk in the car with trey: "oh snappin' turtle!  jon-jon say that.  that what jon-jons always say oh snappin' turtle."

she'll get her jon-jon fix this weekend, thankfully.

  1. PLEASE keep record of all these cute things, one day you'll look back with a big smile, and probably a few tears too :) I loved that stage with Darci, at age 3 & 4, always something funny to say.

Congrats on baby Hayes (love the name) and look forward to hearing of her arrival :-)

    1. Definitely a hilarious age! And I downloaded a publishing software that is supposed to print this blog in book form so that I can keep it with her baby book, but I haven't figured out exactly how to use it yet. I'm working on it because I do want to keep a record so that I can enjoy it later and so that she can enjoy it when she's older.

Thanks about Hayes...we're excited about her!!
