we have lots of tea parties. everyone must wear a crown and sit in their assigned seat.
| cheers! |
below: one of these people thought the boppy on the head was so darn hilarious. it ticked the other person off. tea parties are meant to be fun, but they are also serious business and most importantly, you stay in your seat and leave your crown on! someone has been home all week with a nasty summer cold and has become more anal about all her rules. i can hardly keep up.....oh, but i did learn today that it doesn't matter if hayes is fussing and needs to walk around - you do NOT leave the chair and actually, i really shouldn't even be holding a baby while having a tea party. geez.
anytime the newborn fussies flair up, you can find me doing this....
hayes is a big fan of the baby bjorn. i have introduced her to the old rap song "tootsie roll" (you know, 'the butterfly uh oh dat's old, let me see you tootsie roll...tootsie roll') and she likes to slide and dip and do all kinds of fun moves. it all makes her really happy.
see...we're happy! (or just crazy).
someone likes to EAT!! last wednesday hayes was 7.10. yesterday at her one month appointment she was 8.10!! she has a double chin and some growing thighs to show for it....this little lady was born with those little toothpick frog legs and now look at her. way to grow baby hayes!! her dr. is so pleased with her growth and said that she just looks "great!"
| she had her second hepatitis shot, hence the garfield bandaid. she took it like a champ - cried when the nurse stuck her but quit as soon as i picked her up. hayes likes to be held=) |
and the double chin....
hayes is getting on a nice little night schedule. this whole week she has been sleeping for 4 hours after her late night feeding. then getting up again to eat around 8 or so in the morning. so i'm only getting up once in the night (usually in the 3 or 4 o'clock hour) to feed. hoping this continues!!
random, but i found these 2 pics on my camera from when the twins were in town a few weekends ago. thought they were sweet and funny....

can't believe hayes is 5 weeks old today!! happy 5 weeks, baby hayes!
this is how hayes feels about really bad thunderstorms.....
a couple of sk funnies, both of which i'm sure came straight from doc mcstuffins. she loves that show.
sk (pointing to trey's tattoo on his ankle): oh!!! oh no, daddy, you have a boo-boo, oh no!
trey: yeah, i'm okay though.
sk: well now, tell me how it happened.
ha! thought that was funny=)
hayes spit out her reflux meds yesterday morning and was all out of sorts and was crying so i had to take her upstairs with me to get sk out of bed.
sk: hmmmm, what is wrong with baby hayes?
me: her tummy doesn't feel well.
sk: hmmmm, well that is very interesting, let me see what we can do to fix that.
ha! that was really funny, i had a hard time not laughing.
HA! Love the SK funny comments from Doc McStuffins....Hannah loves that show too! And, can I just say you look fantastic! Hayes is only 5 weeks old and you don't look like you were ever pregnant! Good genes there girly! So happy for you and Trey and your sweet blessings! Love the pictures of Trey having a tea party....priceless! XO
ReplyDeleteWell how much money do I owe you for that nice comment?? Ha! I wish I could stroll more so that I could really get in better shape, but it is honestly TOOOO hot. Even a 6:00 stroll is too hot. I will welcome Fall this year for sure. And Doc McStuffins is such a cute show I think!
ReplyDeleteWe will be thinking of y'all as you make your way to AL Monday morning!
