one month.

mary hazel lucy - you are one month old!!  

yipee!!!!!

we are so glad you are here and are a part of our lucy family!  you make us feel complete.

you have a one month appointment on thursday - i'm sure you'll probably be in the 8 pound range by then!  you were 7.10 on wednesday.  

when you are awake you like to be held.  you like to walk around alot - i've been using the baby bjorn quite a bit. 

you get up a few times at night to eat and have gotten much better at going back to sleep after your feedings - for the first couple of weeks you often wanted to stay up and party after eating.  last night you slept from midnight until 4:30 before getting up to eat and then you went back down until 7:30.  not too shabby, baby hayes!

you are exclusively fed breastmilk for now - you will gladly take your meal from a bottle.
your favorite place to nap is the lamb swing.  you also like to sleep in the nap nanny.  you will take a paci, but only if you really want it otherwise you adamantly refuse it.  you are trying to find your thumb!  we are trying to avoid another thumb sucker.  having a self-soother is the best thing ever until they are 3 and still "self-sooth" at night which apparently is not good for the roof of your mouth. 

i know you're mine and all so i'm biased, but you are so super cute!  you really only smile on accident right now, but i can't wait until i'm able to solicit those smiles because they are super sweet!  

you are strong!!  your head is so strong and you are already grasping at toys and holding tightly onto our fingers and clothes.

 your nickname is hazie-may along with a million other little names that your dad and i make up;)

your big sister loves you so much and wants to include you in all family activities....she never forgets "baby hayes!"
