the pga tournament is this week on kiawah island. if trey hasn't been there entertaining clients then he has been there volunteering until 9pm. so this whole week i have been these 3 words...a.single.mom. i don't recommend it. my mom actually came into town last night so she could watch the girls for me to go to my 6-week check up today at the doctor. so that was nice, but for the most part it has just been me and the girls. can't believe the little hazie bug is 6 weeks today!!!
anyway, back to my misery....ha...it's not really that bad but it's hard to do dinner/bath/bed with sk without trey here to help IF hayes is awake and needing to be held. she "outgrew" her reflux dose this week and was so fussy (especially on my birthday) so we got that fixed. sarah kate has been great. she had 2 playdates this week - both were not at our house and i know she enjoyed getting out so much! we went out to lunch twice - go me!! the week has been crazy and i haven't let trey go off to golf and to nice dinners downtown with clients without him knowing that this type of week will need to be rare. i received these beautiful flowers on thursday so i think he kinda feels bad. he did sign up to volunteer at this tournament 2 years ago and it just happened to coincide with us having a newborn at home....

trey will go back to kiawah for the last day of the pga on sunday but will be here with us all day tomorrow. he has deemed tomorrow "katie day." i'm going to the mom spa for an hour long massage. can't. wait.
Love seeing new pictures of the girls, especially growing baby Hayes! She has gained weight, hasn't she...such a cutie! Loved the announcement you sent! I know you must be eating her up!! I can totally relate to the single mom feeling (like right now!) when Billy has a stretch of closing (and already works 60+ hrs wk). No fun! BUT I am not sure how I would do it with two like you did... LR keeps me on my toes as it is. Sounds like a much deserved massage! Hope you enjoyed Katie day. :) I get those kind of days a couple times a month, they keep us going don't they? ;)
