3 year stats and a weigh-in.

finally, an appointment that was all about her!  (well, mostly).  we had sk's 3 year appointment today.

all is well with our big 3 year old.  she's a healthy girl, praise God!  

her stats for her "baby book":

weight: 29 pounds (50th percentile)

height: 3 feet and 1 inch (50th percentile)

we got a break from shots at this one.  i know that the 4 year well-check is loaded with them so we are really looking forward to that next year! (HA!)

our little one had a weight check while we were there.  she was 6 pounds 2 oz. last monday.  today she was 6 pounds 12 oz!  my little eater is gaining lots of weight!  considering that she left the hospital at 5 pounds 8 ounces, i'd say she's doing awesome (her dr. agrees!)  

we did a little better with this last night, but we still have some work to do......

another area that needs work: my ability to get both girls fed and ready to leave the house!  this morning i was cooking sk's breakfast while hayes was crying to be fed so i grabbed hayes to nurse her and in the meantime i burned sk's cheese toast.  sk said, "daddy makes really good cheese toast, he does not ruin it!"  honestly though, she didn't even say it ugly - just matter of fact.  i made her a new piece, watched it like a hawk and it turned out "very yummy to her tummy."  whew!  last piece of bread so i'm glad it turned out.  i'll get a hang of all this!  good thing the appointment wasn't until noon!  we have a playdate tomorrow at 10 so we'll just see how late i am.  

and finally, a "SK funny":  last monday, my mom and i took the girls to the dr. for hayes to have a weight check.  we usually listen to country music in the car - sk loves it.  but she has a princess cd that she really wanted to listen to, but it's not in my car.  so anyway, we were driving down the road and sk says, "i need a little less country and a little more princess music!"  ha!  my mom and i were cracking up!  she was so serious.  how does she even know to word it like that?!!  she's a hoot.
