we traveled to atlanta on wednesday afternoon, spent the night with lala & dougie, and then left thursday morning for alabama to spend thanksgiving with dougie's family and to be a part of katrina's big wedding day! it was so nice to see all of the chrietzbergs. they are such sweet people and it was the first time they had met sk! patty fixed us the biggest thanksgiving feast you've ever seen and it was so delicious! although sk was a little overwhelmed with her travels & meeting everyone and all, she definitely soaked it all in and enjoyed everyone. today when we got home from school she said, "i wanna go see mrs. c." (mrs. c is dougie's mom....trey's step-grandma). then she said, "i wanna go see trina!" katrina is trey's cousin and was the bride=)
we are thankful for the alabama chrietzbergs and appreciate their hospitality so much! and we really appreciate them being so loving and laid back towards us & sk since she was a little uncertain about her flowergirl duties! i hate that traveling and hotel sleeping and such makes her sooo tired because she's just not herself when she's overly tired. she has worked hard the past 2 days on catching up on all her sleep. she's even taken long afternoon naps which she had all but dropped! she had the best day today and said the funniest things....i'll have to do a new "don't forget these things that sk has said recently" post very soon!
thanksgiving dinner was spent with the chrietzbergs but we had thanksgiving lunch on the road at a cracker barrel. didn't even have to wait=)
i didn't get any pics of our family tgiving feast. i think i was too busy with sk.
the rehearsal went okay. she did what she was supposed to do one time and then didn't want to do it again. jana and casey fed her lots of smarties to get her to stand up there but ultimately, she got upset and wanted her mama.

from the moment she put her dress on she wanted it to touch the floor. so she spent most of the day walking all slumped over so her dress would touch the floor. it was quite odd.

sk never really quit twirling around on the dance floor (very slowly so as to make sure her dress stayed touching the ground) even while katrina threw her bouquet. trey was nervous that she was out there for that. she didn't catch it....whew.

what a nice way to spend thanksgiving! we are so happy for katrina and wish her lots and lots of happiness.
we got back home on sunday and have rested up, gotten our christmas tree and we are looking forward to the sec championship game and then disney!
Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever ...
