organizing, smart phones, & fevers.

in early october trey decided that we were going to target, getting storage bins and getting one of our kitchen pantries, our laundry room and sk's play area organized. i had been putting it off for a while because i knew it would take some time and because i know that when you do big clean-ups that you have to make an even bigger mess before you can organize the mess. yuck. but with a little nudge and help from trey, i did it.

something i learned: tupperware does not have to be your biggest household enemy if you store it with the lids ON. keeping the lids and containers in separate piles makes for a messy nightmare and used to leave me wanting to scream while trying to match the lid to it's rightful container. we no longer have tupperware issues.

now when things get messy again i can look back on this blog post for motivation. it is nice for everything to have a place to hide. the stackable white bins from target are a perfect hiding place for all my "stuff."

now, on to smartphones. i'm officially the only person on the planet who doesn't have a smartphone. my flip phone and i get along just fine so i haven't felt the need to get in line for the iphone just yet. but then i talked to my mom today and she just got a droid. she didn't know what kind of phone it was (had to ask JK) nor did she know it was a smartphone, but nonetheless, even she is up to speed with cell phone technology. trey says i'm due for an upgrade in december and that he's getting me an iphone. truthfully, i just think he's embarrassed when i whip out my flip phone. anyway, i can't wait to watch mama try to figure that thing out!

and finally, sarah kate spiked a fever today so her dr. called in meds to help us kick this thing. when i took her to the dr. on tuesday she told me that i should call back if sk spiked a fever because these allergy issues can quickly turn into sinus infections. so i guess that's what happened to my bug! poor girl has been sick almost all of october starting with strep and then a cold and then the allergies and now an infection. hopefully the meds will clear it up quickly so she can have a healthy november! she deserves a month of feeling good=) she's got to feel good towards the end of november when she makes her flower girl debut!

i'm ending with a few pics of sk from exactly a year ago. she's growing so fast! she's almost 28 months!

15 months in these pics!
