today is Christmas picture day at sarah kate's school.

i told her this morning that she was going to take a christmas picture and she said, "i NOT sit in santa claus lap, i NOT!!" ha! santa isn't going to be there, but at least i know how the 'sitting on santa's lap' pic is going to go down this year. not good.
and speaking of mr. claus, sk has been saying for weeks now, "i be nice, santa give snow white costume?!" so guess what santa has already bought? right. a snow white costume. and this morning she told me, "no, i not want snow white costume. ariel!" sheesh, i give up. but i just know she will love her s.w. costume when she sees it for sure.
this is her new forced smile. looks painful.

she wore her new reindeer pj's on sunday night. i wanted to see if they fit. she rarely wears footed pj's because she loves nightgowns the most, but she had the best time using her little reindeer feet to run around the house. thankfully, as long as trey is home he always does bath and bedtime with sk. it's their special time together since i'm with her all day. she throws a tantrum when it's time to get dressed for bed because she likes certain nightgowns (cinderella and ballerina are her favorites) but sometimes they are dirty. i'm always trying to help her pick one that will make her happy to avoid the meltdown whereas trey is like, "this is what you're wearing. put your feet in these reindeer and get over it." and she does. she gets over it. she's too smitten with her dad to put up too much of a fight.

a funny face in response to something on t.v. i can't remember what we were watching. maybe princess and the frog? she's all about that movie right now.

on the way to school this morning sk hung her head down as low as it could go and wrinkled up her face and said, "i so upset, mama. i feel so sad!" REAL dramatic. i asked her why and she just kept saying, "i upset." she has done this before. it's pretty funny - i mean, i don't want her to feel upset but i don't think she really does. she ended up not being upset by the time we got in the carpool line. she said, "i want to see cooper dog." i said, "awe, we love cooper dog, he's a sweet ole dog. he is ava and bryce's dog!" and she said, "he NOT. he MY dog!" pretty much everything is hers by the way. i said, "well, beau-beau (whose head was hanging out the window) is your dog." she looked over at him and said, "beau beau is a stinky boy." carpool conversations with a 2 year old.....just priceless!
a couple more from this morning:

and just to compare. below is the picture i took of her last year before picture day at her school. little cutie pie!
