happy st. patrick's day.

happy st. patty's day! thanks to big cousins Ava & Bryce, we can always find what we need in sk's closet. this little green cardigan was perfect for the weather this morning and i'm sure it kept her from getting pinched at school;);)

sarah kate is able to blow bubbles now! she sometimes gets so much bubble juice on her lips that she just blows bubbles right out of her mouth. funny girl! but she is able to blow them out of the wand, too.

sarah kate loves eating with a spoon and/or fork. however, she has recently decided that she LOVES yogurt and she has found that she is able to shovel it into her mouth more quickly by using her hand. this equals quite a mess! we only have a few more yogurt cups to give her and then we'll switch to the squeezable tubes. hopefully that will be less messy but she'll still be able to enjoy her new favorite treat. i've been buying her the yo baby organic kind...mixed fruit. i have to offer it to her after she's through with her lunch or else that's all she would eat! we start off right:

then we just get big paw fulls & shovel it on in:

here she is doing mickey's mousercize which resulted with yogurt in her hair:

but hey, when mickey mouse wants you to dance then ya gotta dance!

in other news, i just can't get over the complete devastation that japan is experiencing. what a complete mess. to survive a horrible earthquake and then a huge tsunami is enough, but then to have to just try to stay alive with no food, water, or warmth?? it's all just so hard to even believe. and to see children and family die would be just awful, all while worrying about nuclear reactors causing threats. that country certainly needs lots of prayers (well, they need alot more than that but lots of prayers will help.)

trey, sk and i will participate in the water-missions walk for water on saturday. you can learn more about that here: http://www.watermissions.org/walk-for-water-charleston our church has a team and we are a part of it.....& lucky for sarah kate her best friend alden is also "walking" so she will have a blast i'm sure. after the walk there will be a big family-friendly event with music, food, bouncy houses, etc. for us to enjoy. i know i take our running water for granted everyday so i'm glad to participate in this event. trey has been getting onto me for running the water too long in the mornings lately.....but i have to use really hot water in order to get my mouth guard out & it takes a minute or two for the water to get hot! now that you're laughing at me.....let me just say that not only do people in impoverished countries not have running water but they also don't have access to dental care! my mouth guard (it's not head gear....it's just like a retainer) has helped me to not grind my teeth and therefore has helped my headaches. all this makes me feel fortunate=) so anyway, i'll post about our walk later in the weekend or early next week.
one more bubble pic. can you see them? she's very proud. or really i guess i am. she just thinks that's what is supposed to happen when she blows into the wand. and i guess she's right.
