bridge run.

this is a quick, boring post with no pics, but i did survive the bridge run this morning. my friend amy and i did it together and we had such a wonderful time. it was just a 10K (6miles) and we walked it. such a beautiful day for a walk over that big beautiful bridge....not a cloud in the sky! we started on coleman, walked across the bridge, and ended downtown at marion square where we grabbed some water and a bagel and then loaded a Blue Bird which took us back to mt. pleasant.

and while the mamas were away the daddies and daughters did play. alden and her dad (mr. kyle) had a playdate with trey and sk. they were going to take the boat out but the winds were too strong to have the kids on the boat so they played at our house & then took a wagon ride to our neighborhood playground. amy and i got to mt. pleasant in time to meet them for lunch. now i am looking forward to trey's grilled steak kabobs for dinner=)

in other news, i'm so thrilled that my azaleas have bloomed!!! both sides! last year the bushes on the left side of our house didn't do so well, but trey felt like he trimmed them and cared for them correctly this time & he was right. i was worried that the sudden drop in temps this past week would hurt them, but they are here! i will try to get a pic of sk tomorrow by the azaleas in her sunday dress....a task that surely will not be as easy as it was last year!
