before i post about sk's big time at the egg hunt today, i want to say happy birthday to trey's grandma sasi! she's celebrating her 96th birthday in heaven with Jesus! she went to be with Him on HIS birthday just 4 months ago on Christmas day. grandma sasi (sk's namesake...sarah lee herndon) was one of the best ladies i've ever known. she was so good and spent her whole life serving God. she had alot of qualities that trey and i just can only hope sarah kate inherited. we love and miss her very much. we actually missed her even when she was living because many many miles separated us so we didn't get to see her near as much as we would have liked.
happy birthday, grandma sasi!!!
today we were able to make it to our cousin's annual egg hunt! sarah kate is doing great, praise the Lord! we were glad we were able to go....maryeve is so sweet to host the hunt each year and we were happy to see so many cousins and friends. tomorrow is Easter and we'll be with ava and bryce who were not able to come to folkston to hunt eggs with us this year. so i thought i'd go ahead and post these pics because i know i'll have alot more for an Easter day post;)first, let's just take a look at miss sk at the egg hunt last year! just sitting around watching all the big kids=) what a difference a year makes!

and now.....
seesawing with friend emory=)
running off to find some eggs......
hunting=)
little cousin finley (who isn't so little anymore!) wanted to get her hands on sk's sunglasses=)
finley - still looking like andy to me;)
cousin julianna - exactly one year younger than sarah kate (she looks just like jim!)
um...we had alot more cousins and friends there, but trey was in charge of the camera so guess who he wanted to focus on? ha...proud dad;) even so, he took a few action shots....
whew....what a hot day!
on a walk with mimi...
sk wanted to go see the "bulls" when we got home & she wanted to sit on "papa's tractor" too....
and i am in fact down here too, so i'll post a pic of us girls below! i love this little girl. i'm sorry we weren't able to have our family beach vacay! but hey, i guess since we live 5 minutes from the beach that i shouldn't complain. we're just glad she's well and i'm overly blessed to be able to spend my days at home with her so we'll catch up on our lost beach days as soon as we return to charleston. there's just something so fun and special about taking sk on beach vacations in fernandina at our old family beach house where i grew up staying for our family vacations. such great memories i have and such great memories to come for sarah kate.
if you click on this pic to enlarge it then you can see sk's cute little bunny teeth barely poking through.....her toothy grin cracks us up and fits her little personality perfectly. i told trey tonight that we have GOT to get a decent pic of sk with her mama tomorrow! but anyway, here we are;)
At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." ~matthew 18: 1-3
